About this Blog

Hello, I’m John Bartlett, (JB) and I live in Christchurch, the 3rd largest city in New Zealand. My wife Glenys and I have always been interested in wine and food, and we keep a modest cellar - we prefer to “drink it” rather than keep it.

We attend wine tastings at Cellarmasters and other venues regularly, but mostly enjoy sharing a bottle of two with friends when ever we can.

The idea for this blog evolved from my website www.nzwinelinks.co.nz - that came from sorting out my wine-related favourites into some sort of order: I thought sharing these with others would be a good idea, and so the NZ Winelinks website was born in 2004.

Since then web 2.0 technologies have arrived, so my intention is to gradually migrate the whole website into this blog for ease of management and accessibility.

I hope you find my blog useful in your quest for information on New Zealand wines, and I look forward to adding your sites and hearing your comments.
